Angus Companion Support

Helping you live life on your terms.

Support and companionship to help you live life on your own terms

You deserve to stay in the home you love, doing the things that matter to you, with someone by your side who genuinely cares. If you’re in need of a helping hand, a familiar face, or simply good company, Gary is here for you.

What we offer

Practical and emotional support, tailored entirely to you

Life is richer when you feel connected, capable, and in control. Angus Companion Support exists to help you stay exactly that - independent, active, and fulfilled - for as long as possible.

Gary works with you as a companion supporter: not a carer, not a visitor, but someone who understands your needs, respects your choices, and shows up consistently.

Whether it's help with everyday tasks, someone to accompany you to appointments or activities, or simply a friendly presence to share a cup of tea with, support is shaped entirely around what you want.

Everyone is welcome here

Gary has experience supporting people across a wide range of needs and circumstances, including those living with:

Dementia

Physical Impairments

Mental Health Conditions

Neurodivergence

Gary enjoys community engagement at events and fundraisers - including co-presenting with these charity mascots

Person-led support built on trust

Gary's practice is grounded in the work of David Wilson-Wynne of the Dementia Services Development Centre (DSDC)/Innovare and Professor David Sheard, Professor of Emotional Intelligence in Care, York St. John University.

At the heart of Gary's practice is emotional intelligence meaning:

[1]

Control

You are always in charge of your own life

[2]

Choice

Your preferences and wishes shape every session

[3]

Consistency

Familiar, reliable support you can count on

[4]

Confidence

Building your sense of self and independence, not replacing it
